1991-1992, Dunston Join The Northern League Division Two From The Wearside League.

Our first League game of the season was at home to Washington were we won 1-0 on August 17th.

Our first defeat was at home by Shotton Comrades on September 3rd when we lost 2-1.

Our first away win was 3-0 at Crook Town on September 21st and our first away defeat was on November 16th by Stockton losing 2-1.

Our highest score was 8-0 when we beat Evenwood Town on the 25th April and our biggest defeat was 3-2 twice the first occasion was at the hands of Prudhoe East End on the 26th December and the second game was by Hebburn on the 25th January.

We missed promotion by one point after Playing 38, Winning 26, Drawn 6, Losing 6, Scoring 104, Against 33 and our total points were 84 against Hebburn,s 85 who gained promotion.

In the FA Cup our first opponents were Guisborough Town on the 14th September we won 1-0 the attendance being 140 , we played Penrith three times in the next round first drawn 2-2 at Home on the 28th September, at the replay at their ground on the 2nd October we again played a draw this time the score being 6-6 and the last replay also at their ground on the 7th October were 517 people saw us lose 2-1.

We reached Round Four of the FA Vase losing at Home to Guisley Rovers 3-1 on the 18th January

Our first game was against Prudhoe East End (Prudhoe Town) on September 7th winning 7-2 up next we travelled to Stockton on the 5th October winning 2-1, next an away game at Seaton Delavel on the 2nd November winning 2-1 after extra time, we beaten Thackley 3-2 in extra time at Federation Park on the 23rd November in Round Two,  Round Three we met Belper were the game was abandoned when the score was 1-1 in the replay at Dunston the Fed won 2-1.

In the Northern League Cup our first game was at home to Ashington on the 15th October winning 2-1, in the next round we met Chester-Le-Street also at home this time winning 3-1, Blyth Spartan knocked us out of the competition in the next round at Croft Park were they won 5-2.

In the Durham Challenge Cup we made a quick exit at the hands of Cockfield in the 1st Round getting beat 2-1 on the 30th November.

Also this season Dunston FBFC played Newcastle United in a friendly for the official opening of the new £30,000 floodlighting system, Dunston won this match 2-1 which was played on the 6th January.

Ground admittance for 1991-1992 was £1:50.

My first visit to Federation Park was on September 14th 1991 to watch the FA Cup encounter against Guisborough Town details of the result as above and I've being following the Fed ever since.
